Two Tenure Track Faculty Position in Statistics, Measurement, and Evaluation in Education

As part of our recently developed Strategic Plan and our enhanced commitment to research as an AAU member institution, the University of Missouri (MU) College of Education and Human Development is committed to continued support of Statistics, Measurement, and Evaluation in Education. We are searching for individuals to fill two tenure track faculty positions who share the College’s commitment to quality research, excellent teaching, exceptional service to students and the profession, and to continuous quality improvement in an environment of civility and respect.

Minimum Qualifications: 1) Doctorate in Educational Research, Educational Measurement and Statistics, Quantitative Psychology or a related field by the time of appointment (anticipated September 1, 2023) with an emphasis in quantitative methods; 2) Evidence of effective teaching of research, statistics, measurement, and/or evaluation courses at the graduate level. 3) Evidence of scholarly productivity and strong potential for securing external research funding.

Candidates will be evaluated on the following factors: 1) Background in quantitative methods as applied in the educational, social, behavioral, or other psychological sciences; 2) Experience and expertise in causal inference, Bayesian statistics, machine learning and related fields, latent variable modeling, multilevel modeling, and/or quantitative program evaluation; 3) Ability to develop and sustain an independent program of scholarly research; and 4) Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experiences and qualifications. Appointment: Tenure-track, 9-month appointment beginning September 1, 2023 Closing Date: Review of applications will begin November 1, 2022, and continue until the position is filled.
