Instructions how to install R and R Studio on a Pixel Slate (or a Chromebook) The Google Pixel Slate allow users to run Linux applications. Getting R and R studio up and running is (relatively) straightforward (after a little bit of trial and error). First, enable Linux by going to the settings of Chrome and then turning on the Linux virtual machine (see below):
Click install.
After, the Linux terminal should appear.
